The families that called Bays Mountain home for over a century used the land to meet their needs, both in agriculture and medicine. A park ranger will describe the uses and significance of various herbs and wild flora in early Appalachian cultures. Participants will learn about the role of these plants in daily life, including their modern roles still utilized by us today!
Registration is required. Participants are encouraged to meet at the Farmstead Museum 15 minutes before the program begins.
