Earth Day is a time to give back to nature for all the benefits that it provides us. If you have ever visited the park and walked its many trails, and thought about helping in keeping those beautiful paths, now is a perfect opportunity to do so. Join park staff on Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for our Earth Day Volunteer Project, and help us maintain some of the mountain’s beautiful landscape.
Participants must pre-register. This program also counts towards Tennessee Promise students. Participants are asked to wear closed-toed hiking shoes, long pants, and bug spray. Please be prepared to pack in water and a lunch to eat while on trail. Gloves, safety glasses, and tools will be provided.
If you have any questions, please call the park at (423) 229-9447.
